The Artists

Emerson Mitchell began his musical journey as a drummer in his high school marching band. He later became a drummer and vocalist for Top 40 cover bands throughout Central New York. Emerson eventually co-founded The Living with Calvin May, with Rev. Samuel joining the lineup. After The Living played their final show, Emerson continued to perform with various bands until he conceptualized Mad Cow Tippers, a band he formed with Rev. Samuel.

Rev. Samuel is an accomplished bass player known for his ability to bring the music in his head to life through the use of technology. In addition to his musical talents, he is an indie filmmaker with two internationally recognized feature films under his belt: Where is the Chesterfield King? (2001) and Schwag: The Movie (2007). While he has directed music videos for Mad Cow Tippers, Torch and Hammer marks his return to major creative work after several years.

Calvin May has dedicated his career to his passion for recording and producing music in Rochester and Bearsville, NY.
